Control trains and new for this unit is the built-in capability to light your layout - with on-off switch to turn on or off lighting. Includes panel facing, with circuit board and control knob. The panel has an AC adapter socket for OPTIONAL AC adapter (see below under "optional items"). This version does not allow for battery operation. The 88167 is the new release (late 2022) from Noch that supersedes all previous versions of their speed controllers. STATUS: discontinued
